Who is the real racist in Malaysia?

Racism! Oh Racism!

Racism is a very powerful word. A very cautious approach needed to be taken by the user in order to use it, PROPERLY. When you can use it? Why you need to use it? What is the result after you have used it? Where to use it? How to use it? These are the very simple techniques taught by our school teachers whenever you need to write an essay or report. We know these when we are studying but we forget how to apply these formulas in our real life. Now, the big question is WHY?

Why WHAT?? you may ask. Why RACIST i may answer.

Malaysia used to be a role model or module of a perfect harmony towards all races. It does not matter. It was not a big deal. It does not matter if you are a Malay or an Indian or a Chinese or Iban, Kadazan, Murut (tribes of Sabah and Sarawak) or any other race. We were living proof of unity can exist among all races. We were. That is never a lie. I am 28 years old this year. I am an Indian, but i have great friends who happens to be Malays and Chinese. The formula is never wrong. That formula still exist. But where does the formula exist is the next question. Ask your self, do you have friends of all races. Secondly ask your children, do they have friends of all races. Then find out from your own friends, whether they have friends of all races. You do not need to go far to point fingers to others. These racists exist among us too. If you find yourself do not have much friends from all the races, then your parents never do their duty. If your children do not have much friends from all races, then you never do your duty. But at this age, and you are a working adult, you still do not have friends from all races, you my friend is a problem!

So now my question would be, why are we having racial problems in Malaysia? First it was Hindraf from which the Makkal Sakthi was given birth. A great movement who actually put MIC in shame. All thought its objective were clear and sound, some manipulated it for their personal gain (Whether you agree or not, that is a fact). Fair enough, the indians knew about this manipulation and still they followed the trend(Makkal Sakthi Movement) and voted for the opposition only to express their discontent and anger towards the government over the way of handling certain very sensitive issues. MIC is in shame. Mighty Khir Toyo is now the opposition, the "kurang cerdik ha ha ha" Zainuddin Mayiddin (I hope i spelled his name right) learnt their lessons well. The democratic style. The government was against the Hindraf. They even sprayed water and gas on the movement. According to them, street demonstration is not ethical.

But now, 1000-2000 UMNO members gathered and did street demonstration in Penang to express their discontent regarding the exclusion of DEB by DAP in Penang. They claim "dont neglect the malays". But i was shocked to hear their utter ridiculous claim of all the claims. Malays are still way back among all the other races. I certainly cannot take this. This is stupid. If Barisan Nasional says this, i have no words to describe their stupidity. If UMNO says that, then UMNO is certainly asking for trouble. Let me put it this way, for those people who cannot think of their own. Let me ask you this. DEB was in place since early 70's to "upgrade" the economic status of Malays. That was in 1970. Now its 2008. Nearly 35-38 years, and Malays are still not developed? Where have the money gone? Then this very statement of Malays are still left behind reflects the failure of DEP. This is the proof. This is what Lim Guan Eng described DEP as crony ism and only sides to certain group only.

If you analyze the election scenario properly, Barisan Nasional was reflected as if its owned by UMNO alone. Every street that bears the Barisan Flag always bears the UMNO flag. If Barisan is said to be the "so called multiracial party" why it only bears the UMNO flag. Where is the MIC and MCA flags? Are they sleeping inside the cabinet, or are they MCA and MIC is also known as UMNO and working for UMNO now? UMNO keep on bragging about malays, malays and malays. What about indians and chinese? Are we not Malaysians too? Even Khairy the Clown who openly called indians who were involved with the Hindraf as baboons were allowed in UMNO and got applause from the UMNO members. In the parliament, when the Barisan Nasional MP's have the nerves to ask the others races to get out from Malaysia if they do not like the system. HOW CAN A PRIME MINISTER OF ALL MALAYSIANS EVEN ALLOWED SUCH COMMENTS. DOES THIS MEAN THE PRIME MINISTER ONLY REPRESENTS THE MALAY?

Back to my topic, if there is any malays who happens to read this and who happens to be in UMNO, please advice me, who is the real racist in Malaysia? Is it wrong, we the indians and chinese who also born in this very same country, who eat the very same food that you eat, who acts like brothers and sisters in need should not be bumiputeras too? Are we aliens in our own country? Shall we, the indians and chinese swear pledge our loyalty to our ancestors land, India and China? Can UMNO, answer these questions?
